Angie Cano-Flores

Angie Cano-Flores RA
Architect

Angie combines her unique background in literature and her international work experience and studies to elevate her designs and transcend the inherent connection between architecture and literature. An incredible designer, she has worked on projects of all scales, from interior upfits to 29-story skyscrapers, most recently leading the project team and design effort on two mass timber office buildings in the Southeast. She has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Floy Damon Award for outstanding Academic Performance in Architectural history and theory. Angie is also dedicated to inspiring the next generation of designers by hosting design series to introduce students to Architecture.

Outside of architecture, Angie has been a participant and co-curator of several exhibitions. Her first exhibition, Passage, was a mixed-media performance celebrating the integration of body, movement, and structural elements. This was an intriguing collaboration that engaged and stimulated multi-sensory relationship and new perceptions.

Angie holds a Master of Architecture from The University of South Florida; she also studied abroad at the Florence University of Arts and the University of Ljubljana School of Architecture. Angie enjoys writing, literature, classic Hollywood cinema, and taking long walks with her 6-year-old hound mix, Arthur.
